It's a road trip from hell for Robert Downey Jr. and Zach Galifianakis, who team up for 'Due Date' and we have a behind-the-scenes look at the upcoming comedy.
The fun flick, in theaters November 5, tells the story of a soon-to-be first-time dad (Downey) who is so desperate to get home to his wife, who is due with their baby in five days, that he hitches a ride with an aspiring actor (Galifianakis).
"It is such a wild ride, simple in its bones," Downey Jr. says of the movie. "But I think I'm very fortunate that I got to do this with Zach."
Downey Jr. says their first meeting was a bit awkward. "Truth be told, before we started shooting I was in Venice and a weird guy says, 'Hi I think I'm doing a movie with you and Todd Phillips' and I thought, 'I have to punch this guy' and then I realize, oh, that's Zach! So we've definitely come a long way since then."
Galifianakis also has nice things to say about his co-star.
"Robert is really eloquent in real life and his character is really eloquent," he says. "And in real life Robert insults me when we're not working, very eloquently."
